Random

We got ice in NC yesterday.

The roads are covered so I guess we'll be home bound today.

I may take down the Christmas Cards hanging in my kitchen....

FINALLY

Last week at preschool my oldest granddaughter had show and tell day.

She was to bring something from another country.

A friend of hers lived in China for a few years
and brought her a dress from there.

So, EC dressed in her China dress and also took Mulan with her to school.

Her mom did her hair like Mulan's too!

Hubs made CAN CAN Soup last night!

One of our favorites...especially on a cold night.

P.S. This was originally titled Creamy Chicken Vegetable Chowder,
but my sister always called it CAN CAN because you use so many cans!

It's a family favorite!

Recipe for Can Can Soup:

2 cups cooked, chopped chicken
1 can Cream of Potato Soup
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1(11 oz) can Mexican Corn (undrained)
1 (4.5 oz) jar sliced mushrooms (undrained)
1 (4 oz) can chopped, green chilies (undrained)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Combine first eight ingredients in large Dutch Oven (pot), stirring well. Cook over medium heat five to eight minutes or until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat and add cheese, stirring until cheese melts.
We also sprinkle cheese on top of each bowl of soup.
Yields: 9 cups...I always double.
YUMMY!

(If you use canned chicken or a rotisserie chicken you an use canned broth and make this soup in minutes! I almost always cook my own chicken but use canned broth for a little more flavor. You can use low sodium broth and soup if you want to cut down on all the sodium that canned items have.)

Ok, told you this was random.

What's on your RANDOM list?

Very interesting soup recipe. I am a soup lover so will have to try it.

EC is so cute.

Random: #3 has a soccer tournament in Fayetteville today. I was going along until hubs decided I should stay here because the dogs were going to be alone too long and they have been cooped up because of the weather. I almost jumped for joy when he suggested I stay home. Standing on a cold/muddy soccer field was not sounding like too much fun.
But now I am home alone....all day.
