Gadgets!

I'm not a gadget person.

Typically I don't buy into the hype and love keeping things simple.

I like the basics.

BUT

Lately I have found a few gadgets that trip my trigger!

The ONE EGG WONDER!

I cook an egg every morning.

One egg.

Hubs found this frying pan JUST RIGHT for my egg.

ONE EGG WONDER!!!

It's the simple things yall!

That's not the only *gadget* I have liked lately.

Check out this:

The CITRUSZINGER!
(click link above)

Have you seen one?

You squeeze your fruit in the bottom of the bottle

Add water....

And PRESTO....

Fruit infused water!

Is this not FABULOUS???!!!

I saw this on Shannon's blog and immediately ordered one!!

Do I see a cut back on Diet Coke????

Stay tuned!

What about YOU?

Any gadgets you love??

Do share!!

Five Question Friday!!!

1. How often should adults have birthday parties?

As often as they'd like!

I'm all about a party with family every year at birthday time.

A friend celebration maybe at the big 40, 50,60....etc.!

2. What was your room decorated like when you were a child?

We had TRIPLE bunk beds!

No kidding!

My older sister slept on the top. I slept in the middle. Baby sister on the bottom!

How cool is that???!!!

3. Do you have any traditions for Easter?
If so, what? and do you have a why behind that?

My family comes to my house on Easter.

It's the only holiday we all celebrate at my house!
I try to get a bunny or some chicks every year
and we have traditional Southern food......

Ham, deviled eggs, congealed salad, green beans, sweet tea, etc.!

Jesus is the reason we celebrate Easter in our home.

Come to think of it....He is the reason we celebrate everything!

4. Do you get Good Friday off? If so, any plans?

No.

We take off Easter Monday!

5. Did you wear hats & white shoes to church on Easter?
(Or was that just in the South?)

Of course!

Southern all the way here!

Fussy dress. Hat. White gloves. A new purse.

AND a corsage.

Corsage people!

I wish I had some of those old pics to share here.

I don't.

But I DO have a pic from the 1980's of my three......

Happy Easter!

He is Risen INDEED!

What I Have Learned From My Grandchildren

Before I had grands, I thought I would teach them everything.

What I have learned is how much THEY have taught ME!

I have been amazed.

My oldest grand is five.
When she was born I learned to love in a whole new way.
She made my heart beat different and taught me to slow down.
I have learned how Jesus loves through her.
She loves me unconditionally and forgives without hesitation.

Grand # 2 is three.
This girl taught me there is room in my heart for lots of grands.
You wonder if you can ever love another grand like the first....
Until you have the second.
She teaches me to love the strong willed and the spunky.
And she has taught me that leaving the lights on at night is not a big deal! :)

Grand # 3 is two.
He taught me how to love a grandson.
He is amazing!
This boy teaches me to *be on my toes* with his intelligence.
He teaches me to appreciate his love for television......
because that means I have to sit still.
And he shows me what it means to appreciate humor!

Grand # 4 is 17 months.
He taught me how to pray for a preemie.
And how to TRULY trust God for a miracle!
He teaches me how it feels to be completely carefree
And what it means to love two babies at one time!

Grand # 5 is 17 months.
He taught me how to pray for a preemie on CPAP.
And how to truly trust God for a miracle.
He teaches me what it's like to have to share when you don't want to
And what it means to love two babies at one time.

Grands #s 6 and 7
These babies have already taught me how miracles happen
And how you REALLY CAN wait to find out what they are....
Even though that STINKS! :)
I can't WAIT to learn from them!

I have a lot of room to learn more
And I am so thankful for each day with the seven of them!

Lately and a Twinsx2 Update!

Lately:

~We put together cribs and dressers for the new twinsx2

and big brother tried out the changing pad.....

(K will be 36 weeks tomorrow.
Unless she goes on her own, the twinsx2 will be here on April 17!
39 weeks...WooHoo!)

~The twins are growing and talking and changing.
Their MiMi took this picture when they were at her house last Sunday.
I love it!
But I DON'T love how big they are getting!

~Spent some time with the girls!

We had such a great time.

We went out for pizza and later had a fashion show.

They love to try on things and have me announce them!

I make a big deal out of it and they LOVE IT!

~Easter is just around the corner.

I may or may not have bought baby chicks for the kids to see.

REAL ONES!

Don't worry, I have a good home for them to go to the day after Easter!

What have you been up to lately????

Monday Monday Randomness

Well, hello Monday!

Good to see you again...I think.

It's rainy and COLD for March here in NC!

Where is spring?????

My favorite SIL has a birthday this week!

His birthday always marks spring coming for me.

I love both of them!!

They both remind me of the goodness that awaits us
and the warmth that life brings.
They both are encouraging and bring joy to lots of people.

Welcome Spring and Happy Birthday Big Al!

The TWINSx2 are still hanging out in mommy's tummy!
If nothing happens we expect two babies the second week in April!
Big brother, Baby B, has been sick with a virus and will hopefully stay well now that it is almost baby time!

The *big boy twins* are growing like weeds.

They are 16 months and FULL of energy!

May SPRING slap you in the face this week!!

:)

E N V Y

We are in a series at church called

SOUL TOXINS.

Today was about envy.

Yikes.

Bob touched on several points. I'll share a few here.

  • "When others are happy, be happy with them." ROMANS 12:15 (Celebrate the successes of other people.)

  •  If you compare yourself with others, you CANNOT win.

  • Envy is an appetite that cannot be satisfied....temporarily maybe.

  • Don't wait until you FEEL like celebrating someone's success.....Celebrate until you FEEL like it.

  • Envy is not about you and me. It's a soul issue. Your problem is with God.  (Ouch.)

  • What if we pray for the people who HAVE what we think we WANT???????

Now I will admit, I've never thought to pray for the people who have what I think I want.
I love that!
I think I'll pray for the people who have this:

Kidding...not kidding:)

Anyway, this envy sermon got me thinking and I thought I'd do an experiment with hubs. I told him I would guess three things I think he is envious of and he could guess three things he thinks I am envious of. It was interesting.

Try it.

Do you struggle with envy?

Do you pray for the people who have what you want?

Grow Babies Grow!

We are not new to this twin thing..............

But, it is no less EXCITING!

These *Twinsx2* are due in a few weeks.

If the techs are correct they already weigh 5 lbs. each!

Mommy hopes to hold on for four more weeks.

Grow babies grow!

We CANNOT WAIT to meet you.

Will you pray with me as mommy takes care of herself and her family?

It's Been 18 Years!!!!!!!!!

My precious niece, KiKi, turns 18 today.

She is one of the kindest souls I know.

Her heart matches her beauty.

Sometimes hard to find in today's world.

Happy Birthday KiKi!

I can't wait to see what your life holds in the coming year!

Love You!

My Heart

Picture overload ahead:

Look how these cousins are holding hands.

Obviously I love my grandchildren.

But, you know what else I love?

I love that they are cousins.

I love that they live close enough to each other to grow up together.

I love that long after I am gone they will have each other....

......and the memories they made as children.

They have no idea that their afternoon yesterday was a memory.

But I did.

Five Question Friday

Clearly I don't follow through with things I start here on this blog.

Five Question Friday got left behind.

As did the *photo a day* in February.

Themes are not my forte'.

But, I regress, and I bring to you,

1. What was the most productive thing you have done this week?

Hmmm. I guess it hasn't been very productive.

I did keep this baby boy this week:

And I am keeping these two for a few hours today:

2. Enjoying the winter or ready for spring?

Silly Question.

19 days and counting..........

3. Are you an introvert or extrovert? Is your spouse the same as you?

I am definitely an introvert.

He is definitely an extrovert.

We go together like salt and pepper though!! :)

4. Would you rather go without music or television for 1 year?

Television.

But oh how I would miss the Duggars.

I mean someone might get married or something!!!

5. Have you ever been truly scared of someone?

SomeTHING maybe

but not someONE!

Happy Friday!

Spring is around the corner....

What would YOUR answers be???????
