4. If you could change one thing about you what would it be and why?
Physically: teeth

Five Question Friday

Wasn't it JUST Friday????

1. If you could have been (could be) any profession you wanted
 (brains and $$$ no problem)
what would it be?

A Labor and Delivery Nurse.

BUT,
I don't want to go through all the other areas of nursing first. :)

Daily.
I cannot STAND a dirty car.

3. Do you wish there was such a thing as fashion police

 or are you deeply relieved?

Doesn't really matter to me.

Poor fashion police would just be over-worked!

Boys: Oliver  and Hobbs
Girls: Trilla Belle and Patterson
(and Sharon, if you are reading, yes, your children's names have always been my favorites)

The Carousel

We go to a small, family friendly beach in North Carolina.
There is not a lot going on...which is why we love it.
The entertainment consists of a putt putt course and a carousel.
Not even a big carousel...just a small one with a few animals on it.
But our three oldest grandchildren thought it was D*sney World.
Especially the two year old.
No kidding...she was so excited.
They all loved it!
It's the simple things at their ages.

Thankful for the simple things.
Savoring them.
Knowing they won't last.
Enjoying them while they do.

Accident Update

Thank you for praying.
This is the vehicle J had his accident on.
He was the passenger.
Please continue to pray for complete healing for his arm.
He is still hospitalized.
Pray he tolerates his meds.
And please pray for his wife who is still nursing nine month old twins and trying to juggle all these responsibilities the Lord has trusted her with.
HE must really trust her....and I consider that a blessing.

J had two plates put in his right arm...which of course means lots of stitches.
He has been told his recovery is three months.
That seems a lifetime to a 30 year old,
BUT
We know sometimes the Lord wants to talk to us.
He needs our attention.
He sure got mine.
J trusts HIM.
For that I am so very thankful.

I will post updates.
Will you continue to pray for this precious family of mine?

ME in the pictures

How many pictures do you have of yourself?

Me?

Not many.

It's pretty awkward to hand your camera to someone and say

*Will you take a picture of ME?*

Ummm, yeh.

A friend's mother died recently.

During a series of events after her funeral, my friend took pictures....

of herself.

Having fun.

Laughing.

The way she wants to be remembered when she is no longer here.

She encouraged me to do the same.

I think I'll start laying my camera out at family functions.

I think I'll let everyone know to grab my camera and take pics.....

of me, of everything.

That way I'm not the only one taking the pictures.

Do you share my lack of pictures?

It's memories we are sharing here.

Not makeup, or perfect hair.

Memories.

The twins will never remember this happening.

But, they will have the picture.

Let's challenge ourselves to do this.

Are you in?

Trying to get a PICTURE....JUST ONE!

It's too much to ask of five children with the oldest being four.

It's just too much to ask.

sigh..........

This was a normal day inside.

And this was a CALM one....

Five Question Friday

1What is a must in a hotel room?
Cleanliness.
I love the amenities like a coffee pot and a hair dryer and wonderful sheets....love good sheets. BUT, bottom line...it needs to be clean.

2. Which Olympic event would you be best at?
Race walking...I guess. However, have you SEEN them do that? There are so many rules that I probably could not follow!!! Those people are studs!!! By the way, I started to say badminton...but then I realized I can't even SPELL it. I NEVER knew it had that first *n* in it! Seriously. I thought it was badmiton. For reals!

3. What's your stance on the Chick-fil-A subject?

I'm going to answer this, though I really don't like getting into these types of things. I love Jesus and support the marriage of a man and woman only, because I believe that's what He intended....it's how He made us. This does NOT mean I don't love and care about those who choose to do otherwise. I do.

I love that there are businesses that give their employees the day off on Sundays and support their employees in their faith. Chick-fil-A is not alone. Hobby Lobby joins them in closing their stores on Sundays and professing their faith.

4. One thing you said you'd never do as a parent,
but totally have.

Yell. :(

5. What's the weirdest thing you've ever found at a yard sale?

Panty Hose...used. That's just weird people.

How would you answer these five questions?
