Don't you love the things you learn from blog friends? A few months back I saw a tutorial on one of my very favorite blogs:
Fly Through My Window. (When you visit her blog, look at the column on the right side. This
tutorial is listed under *labels: step by step*). Darby has lots of great tutorials, but this one was showing how she made labels for her gifts. I was hooked! So, I decided to make my own. After a few tries, I realized it wasn't that difficult. I wasn't sure what Darby used to cut out her labels, but I tried using scissors and I couldn't get them to look good. So, I went to Michael's Crafts and bought a 3" circle cutter....PERFECT!!!
A friend's daughter is getting married in May. I am attending a shower for her this weekend. This sweet girl loves to cook. She loves experimenting with new foods and recipes. We have an Amish country store about 30 minutes from here, so.............I made the trip, bought the spices, my
daughter-in-law and I made the labels, and, well, take a look. Let me know what you think. Darby is a genius! (click on pictures to see a better view of the labels).
The labels are also great for a gift wrapped package, on canning jars or to seal an envelope!!
