These Two

I spent the day yesterday painting doors with these two. We primed and painted the fronts and backs of all of their inside doors. Whew! It was a job, but we had fun doing it and it looks so much better. I don't have pictures of the doors, but we cleaned up and went to dinner after all our hard work and I DO have a picture of J and J at dinner. They clean up pretty good!

Sesame Street Place

E.C. and her mom and dad just took a weekend trip to Philadelphia to see Elmo and Oscar and their friends! Can't decide who had a better time: E.C. or her daddy! I thought she might be a little afraid of the characters, but she loved them all!!

First Video Attempt *Don't Splash Nonny*

E.C. had so much fun splashing me. I had no idea my camera was on video and was just holding it up waiting for just the right moment to snap a picture...thus the terrible video with my feet included!!! Just wanted to try this video posting out. My Voice: Yes, I am a Southern Girl. Yes, I live in NC. No, I am not a redneck. No, I do not like Nascar. Yes, I love monogrammed clothes and sweet tea.

We Are Proud!

I introduced you to our daughter-in-love K, in THIS post. (Yeh, she's changed her hair). A few years before that post, she received her undergrad diploma. She began teaching elementary school and received New Teacher Of The Year her first year teaching!! We were proud!!

She decided she wanted to continue teaching but, along with that, she went to school at night to pursue her Master's Degree in Education. That dream was fulfilled too! And we were proud!!

THEN.... K decided she wanted to sit for The National Boards. She has studied, mailed in the pages and pages of a written report, and just last week, she took the three hour long test. She won't find out the results until November, but we feel pretty confident that she will succeed at this as well. Do you think we are proud???!!!!

Congrats to you K! We salute you for your efforts and are proud of your accomplishments!

Mother's Day Weekend

I am so thankful for the privilege of HAVING and BEING a Mother. We have had a busy weekend with family. Our hearts are full to overflowing ....and we have pictures galore!

We started off our Saturday with B's graduation and tried to get a little energy out of E.C. first:
