Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

Poll:

Real or Artificial?

We have never used an artificial tree.
But, for convenience sake, I think I am about to take the plunge.
What do YOU use and WHY?

Oh, and these boys......
One wants a real tree. One doesn't. :)

Katie, I don't put their names up because they aren't MY children and I want to respect their privacy. Thanks though!

I always put up a real tree, nothing like the smell of a real tree. Lots to clean up but certainly worth it for only once a year. Real trees just seem to sparkle more. The babies are just beautiful, looks like they are doing really well. How is your grandaughter, hope she is feeling better.

We have an artificial tree since our children are grown. They all have live trees in their homes now. I enjoy being able to put it up early (already have my decorations up since we will be at the beach for thanksgiving). I usually put my trees up early Nov. and use fall leaves and ribbon to decorate them then change the ribbon etc. after thanksgiving. That makes is easier when deorating time comes around in dec. The boys are precious. Praying everyone will be home soon. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Carolyn

The twins are precious! My parents always put up artificial trees growing up for convenience. I never thought anything of it until I met my fiance. His family puts up 2 huge real trees and I love them! however, I have helped them with the tree decorating and it is quite messy and a hassle -- but so worth it! You should put up a real tree so you can fully enjoy the holiday season!!

Dear Daughter, This is the year you need an artificial tree!

Go to Costco and get one with the lights already on.
The nice thing is that you can go ahead put it up and that is all done.
Then when the boys go home you are free and do not have to worry about decorating.

Take some advice from your Mom...
You will be glad you did!

I do both -one of each! But, I would LOVE it if I did not have to string lights! ;-)

Only real until I can no longer drag myself into the woods just to drag out 'the biggest tree in the forest'.

you know...traditions and all.

Well, we started with real, then had one of each, and now are up to 5 artificial - all but one prelit. I put up my stuff early and the real trees we used to get were dry before Christmas which wasn't so great. But - in the perfect world all would be real, it just looks so much better. {although I must admit it is easier to hang ornaments on a fake tree - branches are tougher1}

The babies are looking great - home soon?

Funny that you asked this today, because my husband and I were just debating this very thing yesterday. We always had a real tree until two years ago. I prefer real trees, but so like the convenience of artifical trees. I understand your predicament.
