Strawberry Season

I love strawberries.

Here in N.C., strawberry season usually begins in May.

But, we already have some GREAT *greenhouse grown* strawberries.

A few fun facts about strawberries:

  • Strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside.
  • Just 8 strawberries have more vitamin C than a medium orange.
  • The average strawberry has 200 seeds.
  • Strawberries are a member of the rose family.

I don't know about YOU,

But I love strawberry season!

Strawberries are my all time favorite!!! I could eat my weight in strawberries. I go to the field and get fresh strawberries every week during strawberry season. I can't wait. I also make strawberry jam each year. My daughter loves it for her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Strawberry shortcake and strawberry pie is delicious too!! You have my mouth watering now for strawberries. Hope your beach trip was fun and relaxing. Love & blessings from NC!

I second that! I love, love, love strawberries. My husband tells me that especially when they first come in I might turn into a one if I don't stop eating them! They are so low in calories though and so good for you, what's not to like. How are you doing with the no diet coke thing? Hope your trip with your girlfriends was great!
