This is where we were one week ago today.
Most of you know hubs is a cyclist.
He cycles most days/evenings.
It's what he loves.
It's what his heart beats for.
(Along with Jesus, me, the kids and grands of course.)
I got a phone call from a fellow rider letting me know hubs had had an accident.
He rides with an incredible group of people who stood by him when he needed them. They are to be commended. He is blessed to have them.
He was unconscious for about 10 minutes and had a severe concussion.....
........along with some other scrapes and bruising that will all heal.
Hubs was fortunate.
He has to stay off his bike for six weeks to avoid hitting his head again.
It's going to be a long six weeks.........
On a side note,
NEVER underestimate the power of a helmet.
This helmet may have saved him from serious brain injury.
Be careful Poppy.
You are loved.

How very scary. I guess helmets are important. I keep saying I am going to get a bike and my husband says if I get one, I have to have a helmet. Guess he knows what he is talking about. So happy your hubby is okay.
That is scary! Praise the Lord for helmets and good friends.
A scary situation, but thankfully, a happy ending. Our family business is powersports, watercraft, motorcycles, etc....so, I know that feeling when you find out a loved one has been in an accident. Helmets save lives. riding without one was grounds for our boys to lose priviledges for several months!
I thought I left a comment already...anyway, so happy for the happy ending! Helmets save lives
That is scary. I am so glad your husband is OK. He will have a good story to tell the kids about wearing helmets.
