May we never forget.....I was working downtown Charlotte and my daughter called and told me what she had just heard...I told her it was a hoax for sure, nothing that absurd would happen...then another call that it was on TV...I remember the hair standing on my body at the realization of what was happening and then in total shock afterward!
i was watching the today show while nursing my preemie! talk about a sobering time...i remember the fear i felt during many a late night feeding in the weeks following. i also remember the 1st Sunday i took my preemie daughter to church was not long after 9/11. we sang 'Because He Lives'. i cried all the way through the last verse.
"How sweet to hold a newborn baby and feel the pride and joy (s)he gives; But greater still the calm assurance, this child can face uncertain days because He lives.
what a comfort to have the peace and assurance Christ gives us!
I was at work when my husband called me... I went over to the breakroom to turn on the TV. I watched until the collapse, my knees gave way and I went back to my office to sit down....
I still get so sick at the images and was sobbing Saturday night watching it again. I was getting ready to go to a MDO in Nashville that I worked at, when we saw on the TV what was going on. I will never forget, still so heartbroken for these families and our nation.

I won't forget either. I was teaching a class of three year olds and feeling very vulnerable.
