I FINALLY got my fireplace painted. It was ugly red brick. Here is the *before*.
Here is after it was primed.
We painted the inside black since it was already partially black from soot.
Here is the *After* pic. Brick is the same as my wall color.
It is Sherwin Williams *Navajo White*.

Oh, this gives me ideas...I have a brick fireplace in my office and have been debating on painting it. Thanks for the pictures because this helps me decide. Can not wait to show hubby so he can see how it could look...I really like it...
Looks so good! Dad could not believe you were painting brick. But I love it. He is old school when it comes to painting brick or anything wood. I know you will decorate it beautifully. Can't wait to see it in person. Love, Mom
Isn't it amazing what a can of paint can do? I hope you share what you do with it. I think it is so fascinating what people do with their fireplaces and mantels. I like the choice of Navajo White.
Paint just makes everything look so much better....and it's a cheap way to update!
