The BEST Dessert I Have Ever Had

Hands Down. The best dessert I have ever had.

I made this pie (it makes two pies) the other night for a night out with my
Beach Buddies.

Oh. My. Word. You HAVE to try it.

No wonder they sell it for $16.95 a pie. It's worth it.

Try it and let me know what you think.

Go....get the stuff.....make it. I'm waiting to hear! It's THAT good!

Ashley McMakin holds her coconut caramel pie, a staple at Ashley Mac's Catering. Ashley Mac's Coconut-Caramel Pie
(yields 2 deep-dish pies)
1/4 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecan halves
8 ounces cream cheese
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
16 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 deep dish (9-inch) pie shells, baked
1 (12 ounce) jar caramel topping

Melt butter in a large skillet. Add coconut and pecans. Cook until brown and set aside.

Combine cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk in a mixing bowl. Beat with mixer until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.

Layer ¼ cream cheese mixture in each pie shell.

Drizzle caramel topping (about half the jar) on top of cream cheese mixture in both pies. Sprinkle half coconut mixture on top. Repeat the layer, beginning with the cream-cheese mixture.

Freeze. Serve frozen.

I do truly appreciate when someone makes a claim on a desert like this and then is kind enough to share the recipe. I think I gained 3 pounds while reading the recipe, but right away I thought of people I know who would love this pie. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

I made this pie for tonight since I had a housefull of family. Both my daughter-in-law and son-in-law said they did not like coconut or nuts, but tried a bite and LOVED it like everyone else. Super easy to make and awesome! It was a HUGE hit. Thanks for sharing!
