A Song In My Heart!

I got these three pictures on my phone yesterday. The quality of the pictures is not great, but the content made my heart sing. I wrote below each picture what the text said that came with them. Amazing... three pictures and their messages put a song in my heart.

A friend of ours spoke at his father-in-law's funeral last week.

That simple sentence he spoke about says volumes.

When we look back on the moments of a gathering. 
They become a memory.

Lifelong Friend!

I met my good friend *Mother T* when we were nine years old. 

That's been a few years.

We live a couple of hours apart now, 

but boy,do I love to see her!

She is GiGi and I am Nonny.  

It's a role we embrace.

It's a reward for the aged.

We played recently with our *littles* at Chick Fil A.

I love you friend.

Here's to lots of  dates with our *littles*.

Sweet Little Hands

One of these sweet little hands got burned Saturday.

She touched a hot grill.

Her little hand is going to be fine.

When it is, I'll be buying her another big cookie.

'Cause that's what a Nonny does.

A Good Man

My Beach Buddy, D's, dad passed away this morning.

Please pray for their family. 

This daddy and granddaddy is loved very much. 

He will be missed.

Weekend

It's Sunday night already! Where does the weekend go?

Saturday morning hubs and I left out bright and early. We drove east three hours to the beach.

It's not what you think though.

We went to look at THIS:

Can you say exciting?

NOT.

But for hubs I guess it was. He needs it for work. He took it for a spin and offered to let me ride. 

I politely declined.

When we returned home late Saturday afternoon, I attended a coupon class. I don't do coupons. I should. I really should. But we go to Costco for most things and I just , well, I just don't coupon. My friend, Renee', invited me. So, I went. This is what I have to say about it:

Today, hubs had to work the concession stand for the Legion ball games. All day. So, I went to see the new movie "Babies". It was interesting. I couldn't wait to see it. I even went alone. I don't know about YOU, but I've never been to a movie alone. It was fine, but I was a little disappointed in the movie. I mean, I KNEW the babies couldn't talk. But I thought they might have a narrator or something. There were no words spoken at all. (Well maybe a babble or two to the babies but that's it).

Spent the day with some of my favorite *littles* yesterday.

My Gardenia Bush

I pass right by my Gardenia bush every time I go in and out of my house.

It's right by my back door and the fragrance is AMAZING!

If you click on the picture and look close, you'll see there are TONS of blooms about to burst open.

When I fill a bowl full of them and sit it in my kitchen, the whole kitchen smells great!

My Favorite Word

I love words. Especially the written word.

I find that I use certain words over and over.

But,my favorite word is

PRECIOUS.

When my baby sister was little she ended all her prayers with 

"In Jesus' precious name, Amen."

I taught all my children to pray that way. 

HIS name IS precious.

I know my daughter prays that way. And so does her husband. 

I'm not sure about my boys and their wives.

Golf. It's My Life.

The Hubs and the oldest son played in a tourney yesterday.

Hubs is recovering from knee surgery, so he can only putt.

So, the son takes up his slack.

It's a blessing that they play together.

Golf. Yeh, it's my life.

And I don't even play.
