So, you know, I just turned the big 55.
You know, the age where you get belly fat and have to have your cholesterol checked.
Last year at my check-up, it was 200.
Not good.
Especially since I already try to eat healthy
and exercise.
Fast forward to this year.
I do NOT want to have to go on medicine.
Went to doc.
Had blood work done.
Blah. Blah. Blah.
The only thing I have done different in the past year, was a weight-lifting program.
A friend and I lift weights a couple of days a week, along with our regular workouts!
Cholesterol:
160.
BAM!
Proud of ME!

Good for you! It's great that you can avoid meds.
ReplyDeleteYeah - that is great! I agree....don't want meds for cholesterol. Will have to add weights to my tennis/running/walkiner to see if that helps too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Taking meds is definitely no fun!! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI am proud of you too! Keep up the great job!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky. I tried to make changes and it didn't matter...Dr. said it's in my genes and there's not much I can do about it. But taking a little pill is better than dying early!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!! You should be proud!
