Laundry

So apparently I have this weird thing for clean laundry.

Because I seem to talk about it a lot.

I am fascinated with the Dry Cleaning place.

Fascinated.

Is it weird that I always wonder how when they take your shirts and lay them in a pile, you get YOUR shirts back?

I love how they push a button and those shirts slide down a conveyor belt. I always think "They are going to give me someone else's shirts." But they never do.

And, is it weird that for a long time I thought I might want to own one of these?

Really, I did.

But, I was afraid of this:

Seriously.

You have to draw the line somewhere.

  2. You are an interesting lady. I never know what you are going to come up with next. I really like my laundry shop lady. She is elderly and teaches me alot. I look forward to every time I see her. Your fear made of being over taken by laundry made me smile.

  3. I can not say that I've ever consider a laundry/cleaners as a business I would like to be involved in. But, hey, to each his own.

  4. You make me laugh! I love HAVING clean laundry, I just hate DOING the laundry! Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I have it ingrained in my head that it's pure drudgery...having said that, I do it almost daily because I hate being behind in it...And, I will say that the smell and feel of freshly laundered sheets is one of my favorite things ever!! Have a great weekend:)

  6. I'm a little crazy when it comes to the laundry. I like to have it all done. i don't like to have laundry "waiting"!

And for two people with no kids at home, we certainly seem to have a lot of dirty clothes!! I think it multiplies at night while we are sleeping!! LOL

    Have a great week-end!

  7. I LOVE the smell of Tide. Folding hot clothes out of the dryer. Hanging the stuff I don't dry and walking into the room and the lovely scent of clean, fresh laundry! breathtaking!
I went to a laundromat in college once...it was a disaster! Roomie added too much soap...needless to say we had a bit of a sudsy issue!

I have so many questions for the workers at the dry cleaners...maybe someday I'll ask. Until then I guess I'll hang on to my fascination!

  9. That post was too funny! I remember when my kids were little I would have traded my kingdom for a 2nd set of a washer/dryer.

  10. I like to have clean laundry too. Women complain about doing laundry, but that is one thing that I have never minded doing. I love having mine all caught up and all the ironing done too. I am going crazy now that we have been at the beach for a week, trying to get all my laundry done and caught up. Love & blessings from NC!
