When my youngest was little, he could not WAIT for the Christmas decorations to come down from the attic. Seriously, he started asking in November how long it was until we could put everything out.
Every year it was his job to put out the nativity scene. He carefully placed each figurine and took his job very seriously.
So seriously that he labeled the box we kept it in.
I still have that box.
I want to always have it.
He's 28 now.
I wouldn't trade this for the world.

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! I love it. My brother's name is JOrdan and he is 29. Those Jordans are some sweet stuff. Don't ever throw away that box!

ReplyDeleteI store a few breakable ornaments in a little box that my grandfather sent to my grandmother back before they even had children. (Nobody know where it came from or how I ended up with it.) He was in the military and stationed somewhere else and sent things home to her. Every year when I pull that box out of the storage bin, I have to just hold it for a minute. I love looking at his handwriting, the stamps he used and the way he carefully labeled it. Maybe next year I will wrap a ribbon around it and some how attach it to the top of the tree! :)
